Developing Your Future, Developing Our Society!
As Laos moves from a land-locked to a land-linked country, we need to think more about ‘development’ and how the country faces the challenges that arise from development activities.
The National University of Laos will offer a Master’s program (MA) in International Development Studies, a course aimed at enhancing students’ knowledge and skills with respect to development issues such as sustainability and
poverty alleviation, and also the results of development policy in terms of its social, cultural and environmental impacts in the Mekong region.
Over the eighteen month course, students will have the chance to analyze, contextualize and synthesize development problems and will be equipped with analytical skills with regard to development policy and policy evaluation, skills which will provide a solid basis for their future careers.
